Claim on Georgia child care picks its numbers to make case
While announcing her child care plan, Georgia Democratic gubernatorial candidate Stacey Abrams claimed that the average cost of childcare in Georgia is more than the average in-state tuition. The claim first appeared on Nov.15 in a Tweet promoting "The Bold Action for a Bright Future Plan". "The average cost for infant care in GA is almost $7,700/yr – more than average in-state college tuition," read the post.

Story that Snapchat is shutting down should just disappear -- it's fake news!
Snapchat isn’t closing shop. A viral article saying as much is a fake news story created and published on satirical news sites. We first saw the claim on breakingnews365.net under the headline "Snapchat is shutting down!" on Nov. 8, 2017. The post was sparse and contained a single grammatically depressing sentence.

Local kids rallied together on Wednesday morning at Perry Lindsay Middle School to protest proposed federal cuts to the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) as part of the Children’s Defense Fund’s (CDF) 2017 National Day of Social Action. St. Mary’s Medical Center Employees Deliver Toys to LBPD For Child Victims of Trauma
After holding a toy drive in the beginning of July, employees from Dignity Health Saint Mary’s Medical Center hand-delivered more than 250 donated toys to the Long Beach Police Department’s Special Victims Unit at its downtown headquarters Wednesday morning. Ever since my mom started reading novels to me before bed, I've had a passion for story telling. I discovered my interest for journalism when I was the only one in my high school history class who was excited to learn about politics and write a research paper. I loved the idea of researching a story and was obsessed with making sure  every detail in my paper was correct. From that point, I strived to become a journalist. I came to Boston for college due to its rich history in American journalism. I now attend Emerson College as a journalism major.
